Chris joined Avenue CDC as the Manager of Single-Family Home Repair in February 2018. He has worked in disaster recovery for 3 years, serving the unmet needs of vulnerable populations through a year of service in AmeriCorps and in the non profit sector. During that time, Chris managed disaster recovery operations in San Marcos, Texas, repairing and rebuilding the homes of low-income families devastated by major flood events. Chris has experience in program management, case management, and with federal grants, and holds a B.A. in History and Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He seeks to serve the unmet needs of chronically overlooked and underprivileged populations through a holistic and empathetic approach to his work.
