WHAT
This Saturday, March 24, more than 200 volunteers from the Greater Northside community will join Avenue, Rebuilding Together Houston and Texas Capital Bank to lead home repairs on six low-income homes, including one for a Harvey-impacted family in Avenue’s Housing Recovery program. Teams of volunteers will focus on exterior improvements, including replacing wood siding, scraping and painting, repairing fences, cleaning-up yards and landscaping. Now in its fifth year, this community-driven initiative helps to revitalize the Greater Northside community while improving the quality of life for vulnerable community members.
Teams are sponsored by the following dedicated community leaders and organizations: Texas Capital Bank, Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSACH), Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Exxonmobil, YES Prep Northside, National Charity League – Texas Sage Chapter, State Farm, Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, LISC Houston, and GO Neighborhoods, a program of LISC Houston.
