Near Northside & Avenue Announce Upcoming Neighborhood Initiatives And Celebrate Quality of Life Improvements

An Event to Recognize Community Leaders for Exceptional Progress

WHAT

More change is coming to the Near Northside. Avenue CDC is hosting a celebration to announce upcoming initiatives and recognize the improvements and projects accomplished within the last five years – during which the community has leveraged $57 million dollars for 200 projects and programs across the Northside. Community leaders, Avenue CDC, and Houston LISC are working together through the GO Neighborhoods program to improve the quality of life while preserving the culture and history of the area.

The celebration will give community leaders the opportunity to share their success stories and discuss upcoming initiatives, while actively seeking feedback from other residents in attendance. This celebration coincides with NeighborWorks Week. Every year, Avenue CDC and its partners join exceptional neighbors across the country dedicated to improving their neighborhoods.
