Avenue, Wells Fargo and YMCA Partner to Host Free Summer Family Festival for Neighborhood Residents

WHAT

On Saturday, June 2, Avenue will join Wells Fargo, YMCA of Greater Houston and Mayor Sylvester Turner for a free summer family festival to celebrate the Northline community’s new six figure grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation to support long-term, resident-driven neighborhood revitalization. Residents attending the Saturday afternoon family festival will have access to free health screenings and immunizations, immigration and legal resources, workforce resources and information about summer programs. Children will also be able to participate in free sports clinics hosted by NIKE, with the first 200 children in attendance receiving a free NIKE backpack.

The Summer Family Festival has been made possible thanks to the support of Memorial Hermann, Episcopal Health Foundation, NIKE, Legacy Community Health, Minute Maid, AARP, LISC Houston, Go Neighborhoods, NeighborWorks America, ABC Dental, METRO, Kids’ Meals and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
