Avenue COVID-19 Updates


Avenue is following the guidance of local government and public health officials and CDC recommendations to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, COVID-19, protect our employees, and keep the residents of our communities informed.

Updated 10/19/2020

All Avenue offices will remain closed until further notice. Avenue staff are working remotely during regular office hours and can be reached through email and phone. While telecommuting, all employees have been encouraged to continue social distancing, hand-washing and practicing good respiratory hygiene. Meetings and services have moved to virtual settings and in-person resident services at our multi-family properties have been reduced or hosted outdoors (see below for more details). Please continue to check this space for updates.

Service Disruptions

  • Resident Services in our multi-family rental communities:
    • We are not currently offering the after-school in-person enrichment programming or parent engagement activities until further notice.
    • The food program in collaboration with Helping Hands will continue, following federal guidelines that encourage providers to continue as a source of support for the children/families but as a grab-and-go service.  To find a Houston Food Bank partner distributing food and other food resources, visit the community resources page (English | Spanish).
    • Staff will continue to provide resources and referrals to support Financial Well-being for individual tenants while social distancing/
    • Please contact your apartment staff for updated information on services and limited programming.
