On July 26, Avenue offered an unforgettable experience to Northline families at Clark Park Community Center. With the help of 16 volunteers, we organized the first movie night at the community center and created a great atmosphere for the hundreds of children excited to watch the Moana film, meet her in person and enjoy dancing and taking photos with her.
Between blankets and pillows, popcorn, pizzas and a lot of laughter, everyone enjoyed an unforgettable and special evening. Just before the end of the movie, Moana herself came to visit the kids!
To see the faces of the children so happy and enjoying the moment was really special. For many of them, they have never had the experience of meeting a Disney Princess and Avenue, by listening to the wants and needs of the community, was able to make it a dream come true.
The room was decorated in a Hawaiian style, and even the volunteers dressed up! It all provided a feeling of fellowship and fraternity throughout the night. We were so pleased to work with these amazing volunteers and hope to work together again soon!
